Better Health Psychology is a psychology practice initially based in Western Australia and gradually diversifying world wide telephone and online services, courses and programs.
Role Description
A fully trained Psychologist is required to provide telephone psychology sessions and/or online psychology sessions.
There are opportunities for individual sessions and, if you wish, online group therapy sessions.
Job requirements include:
- providing quality psychology sessions utilising best practice methods
- maintaining accurate records of sessions
- the ability to become proficient in using a confidential computer program (and for those who choose online sessions, the ability to utilise online computer programmes)
- collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- although this is not crisis counselling, you must be willing to monitor any safety issues that may arise during your usual sessions and link in with crisis services when necessary in order to safely hand over clients
- occasionial training when required to update skills
- excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- experience with teletherapy, telephone or online sessions is a plus however in- house training can be provided
- commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
- experience working with diverse populations and adapting treatment to meet their unique needs is preferred however in-house training can be provided
- being punctual with good time management and organisational skills
- participating in regular clinical supervision
Qualifications
Fully trained Psychologist or Psychiatrist or Counselling Psychologist
Current state licensure in your place of residence, or in Australia, or the UK
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in evidence-based treatment approaches
police checks are clear with no relevant criminal history
working with children checks
