Form of workAn exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Psychologist - Senior to join the Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Team at Hervey Bay Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- Provide high level clinical, specialised Mental Health and psychology assessment, counselling and brief intervention to mental health consumers within a multidisciplinary mental health Team.
- The position is responsible for providing consultancy, education and supportive or therapeutic programs for individuals and specific target groups.
- The Psychologist-Senior position utilises broad psychological knowledge and clinical skills to independently manage a complex case load including the ability to effectively analyse and make clinical decisions to deliver a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions.
Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases ( https://tinyurl.com/yc6pgyt2 )(VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $80,407 p.a., comprising salary rates $62.76 - $67.53 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Part Time, 40 hours p.f.).
