The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead, motivate and mentor a team of event coordinators at Australia’s leading business school, on a fixed-term maternity contract from April 2024 to April 2025.
This role will suit you if you have strong stakeholder skills, an excellent eye for detail, the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and can provide guidance and advice to members of faculty, staff and student event organisers.
You will be an especially good fit if you have demonstrated experience delivering graduation ceremonies or other events in the higher education sector.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of passionate event coordinators
- Plan and deliver a range of in-person, online and hybrid events designed to engage audiences including alumni, donors and potential students and clients
- Ensure the successful delivery of events against time, cost, quality standards and targets
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities and logistics related to the School’s event calendar
- Create event marketing and communications plans in collaboration with key stakeholders and colleagues?
- Draft and develop content briefs for use in event campaigns
- Develop marketing assets including invitations, event collateral and set design that adhere to the School’s brand guidelines?
- Oversee full event and logistical briefings for the Dean, faculty, senior staff, speakers and key stakeholders
Who are we looking for:
- Significant experience managing a calendar of in-person, online and hybrid events that meet strategic objectives
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver large-scale events, with high regard given to graduation ceremonies in particular
- An ability to collaborate and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders using excellent communication skills
- High standards and an eye for detail when it comes to ensuring event quality
