Level One Psychology is an established private practice offering psychological assistance to the Sunshine Coast community. We are seeking to add a contractor to operate from our Sippy Downs clinic. This is an ideal opportunity for a clinical psychologist or psychologist who loves working one-on-one with clients, and who is perhaps seeking more flexibility in their work week.
The Role
The role involved providing psychological support and intervention to individuals who are facing clinical issues and/or those who are seeking to improve their quality of life. Referrals are mostly from GPs from the Ochre Medical Centre and other medical clinics in the area and include Medicare referrals, WorkCover QLD, NDIS and DVA clients. Both experienced and newly registered psychologists are encouraged to apply.

The option to engage in peer supervision or, for early career psychologists, to be mentored through the private practice experience by an experienced practitioner who is also a PsyBA approved supervisor.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
A warm, professional, and approachable interpersonal manner
Registration with AHPRA
Eligibility to provide services as a Medicare Provider
The ability to work autonomously
Experience working with a variety of clinical issues in adult populations. We also have a range of referrals for our practitioners to see children if this is an area of interest and competency.
Commitment to evidence-based therapies and continued professional development
Ability to communicate and form strong relationships with GPs, referring agencies and reception staff
Initiative, problem-solving skills and professionalism
High personal and professional ethical standards
Eligibility to secure an ABN and valid professional indemnity and public liability insurance
Desirable:
Ability to navigate an electronic case notes system such as PowerDiary or Best Practice.
An area of interest or specialty. This may be trauma, anxiety, health or sport-related for example. Along with the clinical element of our company, which is the most dominant component, Level One Psychology also has an arm which has a sport psychology focus. Therefore sport psychologists, or those individuals with a Masters of Sport and Exercise Psychology, are also encouraged to apply.
