Sisters in the City, a leading LGBT+ identified organisation, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychosocial Recovery Coach to join our dynamic team. This casual role will report directly to a qualified social worker and will play a crucial part in supporting our clients' journey towards recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychosocial support to clients, focusing on strengths and recovery.
- Develop and implement individualised recovery plans in collaboration with clients and their support network.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs, particularly those under forensic or involuntary treatment orders.
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops aimed at promoting mental health and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for our clients.
- Facilitating stakeholder meetings and providing a complete solution for clients inside the MDT.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with individuals under forensic or involuntary treatment orders.
- Familiarity with the NDIS, including eligibility criteria, funding options, and support services.
- Experience working in an LGBT+ identified organisation or with LGBT+ clients is highly desirable.
