Psychosocial Recovery Coach

Sisters in the City, a leading LGBT+ identified organisation, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychosocial Recovery Coach to join our dynamic team. This casual role will report directly to a qualified social worker and will play a crucial part in supporting our clients' journey towards recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide psychosocial support to clients, focusing on strengths and recovery.
2. Develop and implement individualised recovery plans in collaboration with clients and their support network.
3. Advocate for clients' rights and needs, particularly those under forensic or involuntary treatment orders.
4. Facilitate group sessions and workshops aimed at promoting mental health and wellbeing.
5. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for our clients.
6. Facilitating stakeholder meetings and providing a complete solution for clients inside the MDT.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
2. Proven experience working with individuals under forensic or involuntary treatment orders.
3. Familiarity with the NDIS, including eligibility criteria, funding options, and support services.
4. Experience working in an LGBT+ identified organisation or with LGBT+ clients is highly desirable.
