About the practice
Our client is a highly regarded and well-established surgeon who is setting up a new specialist practice in Greenslopes, Brisbane. They value and emphasise patient-centred care, ensuring every patient gets the time and information they need to feel confident about their surgery, and an efficient service to GPs and specialist referrers.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and harmonious team that supports one another to provide seamless service and excellent patient care.
The opportunity
This is an opportunity to help shape the practice and the service, working part-time and collaborating with another experienced Medical Secretary.
The successful applicants will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, and have a strong customer service focus. It’s a role for people who enjoy being part of a professional and collaborative team in an environment where the patient experience and clinician support are top priorities.
Key tasks of the role centre around day-to-day secretarial duties, including patient and referrer interactions and communication, management of theatre lists, scanning, billing and receipting patient accounts, correspondence and general support of the surgeon. You’ll ensure clinics and theatre lists run smoothly and help build admin structures and referrals.
This is you
You have at least 3-5 years of medical secretarial experience and a high level of professionalism combined with outstanding presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Your mature and empathetic approach, high level of confidence, and ability to prioritise and successfully manage your time will help you succeed in the role, making you an invaluable member of the team, supporting patients, clinicians and your colleagues.
Proficiency in the Office Suite is essential. Knowledge of Genie and Eclipse billing will be highly regarded.
