About the PR / Communications Account Manager Role
A Taurus PR Account Manager (AM) is a leadership role designed to support Taurus business objectives, driving strategy, delivering client outcomes and being part as well as building a successful team. The AM has an expert understanding of client industries, nurtures relationships within The Taurus Network, and champions new stakeholder relationships to enable the delivery of high-level business, marketing, PR, content, social media strategies for clients with minimal management. The role is pivotal in leading, mentoring and training junior team members. An AM will also pursue business development opportunities for the agency and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Strategy and Delivery
- Minimum 3-4 years experience
- Efficiently manage and deliver client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within budget.
- Set up, strategise, ideate, brainstorm, implement, and report on client projects.
- Develop and present strategic marketing communications and PR plans, providing counsel to clients.
- Provide 'value add' recommendations to clients beyond core services.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, alerting the team to opportunities, changes, and events.
- Maintain regular client communication through daily updates, weekly emails, fortnightly calls, and monthly reporting.
- Stay informed about clients' brands, products, services, key issues, competitive situations, and industry trends.
- Manage agency resources to ensure projects are delivered to standards, on time, and within budget.
- Conduct results analysis and identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.
Business Development & Growth - Sales:
- Lead new business proposals and contribute to agency growth.
- Drive new business opportunities and upsell to current and previous clients.
- Introduce 12 new qualified prospects annually.
- Develop proposals for prospects and actively contribute to closing deals.
- Lead and participate in client and prospect meetings, providing pre-meeting agendas and post-meeting debriefs.
Training & Development: TaurusBullseye™:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Taurus strategy methodology and consistently apply it to client work.
Leadership and Management training
- Develop and apply leadership, management and mentoring skills to coach and develop others.
