Clarrow is partnering with one of Australia's most iconic brands to deliver a high-profile project involving the software that manages their Engineering Supply Chain. We are looking for a Product Owner who is a strategic thinker with proven experience in software vendor selection and ongoing management/improvement of third-party software to internal users.
Position Overview:
As the Product Owner, you will analyse the Software needs, review vendor capabilities, manage integration, coordinate with vendor product teams, and maintain a roadmap of business value. All to ensure the vision and strategy of the products meet market demands and deliver exceptional value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, internally and externally.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends.
- Lead the vendor selection process, including identifying potential vendors, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
- Prioritize product features and enhancements based on internal customer feedback, market demand, and business objectives.
- Create and maintain detailed product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product development and vendor management.
- Monitor and report on product performance, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or Technology.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management.
- Proven experience in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
- 18-month program of work with a rolling 6-month contract
- $1,100/day including Superannuation
