About the role:
We are currently seeking a proactive individual to join the team based at our Wetherill Park location as a Purchasing & Inventory Controller. In this role you will ensure effective procurement of consumable goods and direct materials for our multiple NSW sites. The role may also include but not limited to:
- Work within purchasing and inventory budgets.
- Work within current pricing and product requirements within the business.
- Offer tenders and expressions of interest to potential suppliers and analyse responses.
- Negotiate contracts relating to suppliers on behalf of the business.
- Submit new credit applications to suppliers.
- Maintain a supplier register, goods data base and storage facilities for goods.
- Manage vendor goods and/or service issues and determine corrective actions.
- Maintain the purchasing program in Great Plains (GP) including but not limited to item set-up, stock take, movements, month end reports.
- Manage inventory levels for goods through stock movements and consumption.
- Raise Purchase Orders and process goods receipts against purchase orders in Great Plains (GP) and or other computer accounting systems.
- Exercise control over incoming and outgoing goods.
- Identify and managed inventory stock holdings through conducting stock takes

- Demonstrated experience within a similar role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work independently and autonomously.
- High attention to detail
