About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled, experienced and results driven Purchasing Manager to join our team to oversee the procurement process for our manufacturing business located in Brisbane’s northern suburbs.
Role Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing initiatives to optimise supplier relationships, streamline processes, and drive cost savings.
- Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyse supplier performance and quality, implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels to support production schedules.
About You
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience as a Purchasing Manager ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in strategic purchasing and implementing procurement strategies.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems for purchasing and inventory management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to lead and motivate a team.
- Comfortable with achieving set KPI’s
