AddressUnilift Global is manufacturer and distributor of specialised steel wire ropes and heavy lifting rigging equipment. The company client base reaches to major construction projects, Oil and Gas, Onshore and Offshore construction, mining and drilling.
The company headquarters is based in Orange NSW, with facilities in Perth and distribution centre in QLD and USA.
Due to the expansion and steady growth, we are searching for a well-organised Purchasing Officer to join our growing team.
As a Purchasing person, you will be responsible for the day to day procurement of materials and items required to keep production on target.
You will be required to maintain minimum stock level for the store, negotiating with suppliers,transport companies and making sure goods are received promptly.
The applicant should have experience with importing and negotating with import agents.
The company uses Oracle NETSUITE ERP system,and applicant with expericnce in Netsuite will be highly considered.
Key Responsibilties
- Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers
- Sourcing materials, goods and product and services and negotiating the most effective contracts and deals.
- Performing inventory inspections and setting re-order points according to inventory activity.
- Inpsecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsitency.
- Coodinating with delivery team and following up delays.
- Day to day up-dates on outstanding orders
- Phoning suppliers regulary and maintaining good relationships.
- Take control of all imports from point of order to receipt of goods.
- Maintaining supplier certification folders.
Purchasing Officer Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field may be required.
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in the relevant management software programs.
- Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Great organizational and planning skills.
- The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a stress situations.
- The ability to follow client specifications.
- Excellent networking and time management skills.
