The Opportunity
Cleanaway APS, is Australia’s leading Plastic Recovery Facility provider of reusable sharps containers, making a safer, sustainable future possible for the healthcare sector. We have a pivotal role for a Purchasing & Inventory Officer business unit based at St Mary’s, NSW. Your expertise to collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as production, logistics, and finance to align purchasing decisions with organisational goals and objectives will see you succeed in this role.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure the timely availability of materials while minimising costs and inventory holding.
- Undertake MRP activities.
- Interpret data, generate actionable insights, and make informed decisions to optimise inventory management processes.
About You
This role combines strategic planning with tactical execution, and we are seeking a candidate with proven experience in a similar capacity within the manufacturing or supply chain industry. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant educational background or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Your expertise will be essential in meticulously developing and implementing purchasing strategic methodologies.
- Proven track record in conducting demand forecasting and analysis to anticipate inventory needs and prevent stockouts or overages.
- Experience in monitoring inventory levels and performing regular audits to identify discrepancies, reduce excess inventory, and improve accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, generate actionable insights, and make informed decisions to optimise inventory management processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and team members effectively.
