About the Role:
Working within the Operations team, an exciting opportunity for short term role has opened up to join their busy manufacturing facility. We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Purchasing Officer.
The role requires a self-motivated, positive individual with an eagerness to learn, willing and able to interact at all levels of the organisation.
Working alongside the Planning and Supply Chain teams to procure parts to satisfy our customers demand.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Follow up with suppliers on Order Confirmations to provide accurate delivery promise dates to operations and sales
- Follow up overdue Purchase Orders and update system with new information
- Update overseas purchase orders with Advanced Shipment Notice information
- Update Shortage Advice to Sales on a daily basis
- Assist with the daily actions of shared Purchasing Email Inbox
- As required negotiating with local and import suppliers always looking for an opportunity to improve cost
- Gather and process Sub-Contracting orders and delivery sheet
- Other Purchasing Adhoc Duties as required
- Learn and develop to understand the processes within a Supply Chain
Skills & Experience:
- Experience using Oracle is a MUST
- Good analytical and reporting abilities
- Versatile, flexible and able to work in a dynamic changing environment with multiple priorities
- Detail and results oriented with the ability to ensure overall effectiveness
- Excellent communication skills across all mediums and levels of stakeholders
- Passionate about meeting customer delivery schedules.
- Attention to detail
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office skills
