The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to leading Australia's clean energy transition, building the energy super-highways and enabling nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
In your new role as Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that stock levels are maintained as per Asset Management requirements (spares policy) and to ensure that projects and maintenance requirements are met.
This role is pivotal to the Supply Chain function, coordinating internal customer demands with warehousing and inventory management teams.
A solid understanding and experience in purchasing and logistics functions is essential as you will be required to look holistically across the network, ensuring that existing inventory and non-inventory items are utilised.
Analytically, you will have strong Excel skills with a broad knowledge of ERP systems (for example, Maximo) and an ability to collate and provide data to assist with inventory management reports.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in purchasing and logistics
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience in SAP Ariba, ELLIPSE, Oracle Financials, IBM Maximo is desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, to enable interaction with staff at all levels.
- Proven problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Trustworthiness, dedication, creativity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of Work Health & Safety and Environment policies and procedures
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
- Forklift Drivers Licence desirable but not necessary
