We are a registered charitable organisation providing employment services for people with disabilities, otherwise known as an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE).
As part of its commitment to providing quality services, Access Industries employs skilled Training Officers and Welfare Officers to provide or organise additional training and support for its supported employees (i.e. employees who have a disability). This enables supported employees to optimise their work potential and personal skills, and for those wishing to do so, helps to prepare them to move on into open employment.
We have employees that have been with our organisation up to 50 years, we offer long term stable employment.
The Opportunity
We are excited to announce an opening for an experienced Purchasing and Inventory Officer to join our Customisation Services Team at our Erskine Park site. This crucial role is designed to manage and optimize our inventory and purchasing operations effectively, ensuring alignment with our production demands and maintaining operational efficiency.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Completing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) regularly to align inventory with production needs.
- Raising and managing Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Processing supplier invoices and coordinating with accounts for timely payments.
- Conducting cycle counts and Inventory audits to maintain accurate stock records.
- Providing monthly inventory reports to internal stakeholders and analysing inventory trends.
- Ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to manage the supply chain effectively and minimize disruptions.
Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in Purchasing and Inventory management within a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems, preferably SAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
- A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and understanding of WHS Legislation.
- Innovative problem-solving skills and proactive management of inventory and purchasing processes.
- Driver’s License: Hold a Full (Unrestricted) Australian Driver Licence.
