The Company:

The Position:
We are looking for a Purchasing Officer to implement procurement and purchasing strategies to maximise cost savings and improve part lead times. This will ensure timely and accurate production and delivery is achieved for all stakeholders and critical support is provided to the spare parts division.
This is initially a four-month opportunity with a chance to transition to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate cost reductions with vendors and identify alternate vendors that meet the procurement requirements
* Coordinate vendor activity for Global, National, Local and Spare Parts components including negotiation of price, conditions, supply agreements, despatch and PO generation.
* Coordinate vendor management activities
* Manage parts ordering system, ensuring deadlines are met
* Raise Purchase Requisitions as required
* Analyse spend data and prepare reports highlighting key elements of the analysis
* Convert internal requisitions into Purchase Requisitions in SAP
* Expediting of parts orders for global and local Vendors.
Skills and experience
* Advanced level Excel, PowerPoint & Microsoft Access
* Advanced level of SAP skills
* 2-3 years of Procurement experience
* Demonstrated experience managing external Vendors
* Strong Interpersonal skills
* Excellent time management skills
