ROLE

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Digital Engineering department. You will lead a team of dedicated QA professionals, ensuring that software products and applications meet and exceed functional and non-functional requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing and implementing quality assurance processes, strategies, and frameworks while adhering to best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Provide clear direction, purpose, and context for your team's work.
  • Regularly assess performance and provide feedback to direct reports.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to QA Analysts and Engineers.
  • Foster and promote a QA Engineering approach, uplifting capabilities across the QA team.
Testing Strategy, Planning, and Coordination
  • Design comprehensive test strategies aligning with project goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize resource utilization.
  • Define and execute program and project-level QA strategies.
  • Support operational teams in designing test environments.
Test Execution and Monitoring
  • Oversee the execution of functional and non-functional test cases.
  • Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with defined standards.
  • Regularly review and update quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to defect management and resolution.
  • Guide the implementation of test automation strategies.
YOU

Please only apply if you have extensive leadership experience in Australia as a QA Manager and are based in Adelaide, SA as this is not a remote role and require you to be based in Adelaide SA

You will be a dedicated leader, providing continuous improvement and optimization for the QA function, and staying up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies. You will be a highly effective communicator, developing and managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. 

  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate quality metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Implement best practices and standards to optimize the QA process.
  • Capture and disseminate technical and business information related to QA.
  • Contribute to the development of Agile practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • A strong negotiator, who can work with competing priorities to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and efficiently allocate testing efforts.
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or IT (highly desirable), testing, and Agile certifications (advantageous)
