About the Opportunity
We have a requirement for a Quality Assurance Manager, with preferred experience in precast who is fastidious, proactive and looking to grow with the business
About the Role:
- Prepare, review and update Quality Management Procedures & systems for precast concrete works
- Provide Quality Assurance (QA) oversight and technical support to the plant in areas of QA compliance
- Implement HOLD points on concrete pours to ensure QA first time/every time
- Undertake audits to identify areas of concern or improvement in areas of excellence
- Undertaken pre and post pour works within the production area incorporating a system within the shop drawing environment, providing checks of works executed and approving the pours prior to placement
- Managing and storing the pre and post pour QA documentation in an electronic format for ease of reference and referral
- Oversee the product testing of concrete and other products, arranging and maintaining records of test results for reference validation
- Maintain all job related records for traceability
- Implement procedure and policy of your own to continually improve process and production within the factory floor environment
- Monitor process and implement corrective action activities to eliminate any non conformance of production and other
- Verify that Non Conformance Report (NCR) are being implemented
- Managing QA documentation including raising, checking and closing out NCR
- Lead and/or participate in plant continuous improvement processes
- Constant improvement attitude, can do attitude. Make it happen
About You
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following selection criteria:
- Familiar with precast concrete, steel framing and reinforced concrete construction
- Excellent knowledge in reading precast workshop drawings
- Meticulous attention to detail, quality and accuracy
- A self-starter attitude and the ability to manage your time effectively to ensure deadlines are met
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
- A client driven approach
- Degree in Engineering desirable, with a background in quality and process engineering OR currently working in construction as an experienced trades person and looking to expand knowledge, taking the next step up in the precast industry.
