The food technician will be responsible for accurately gathering and verifying the nutritional information of specific menus and ensuring compliance with food allergen declarations.
They will collaborate closely with the Internal and external stakeholders, culinary team members, and internal departments to ensure that all meals meet stringent food safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nutritional Information Gathering: Collect and meticulously analyse nutritional data for all menu items, including Calories, Protein, Fat, Carbohydrates, Fibre, and allergens.
- Allergen Compliance: Ensure all meals are accurately assessed for allergens contained in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Food Works System Experience: Utilise the FoodWorks nutrient analysis software to input and manage nutritional and allergen information with the utmost accuracy.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular, rigorous audits and checks to ensure that all meals meet the highest quality and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Foster strong, effective collaboration with Internal and external stakeholders, culinary team members, and internal departments to ensure that all meals not only meet but exceed customer expectations.
- Documentation: Document and record each menu item's nutritional and allergen information.
Background and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a food catering or hospitality industry.
- Deep understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with the FoodWorks system or a similar software.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
