Cordina Chicken Farms are part of an Australian owned family business with over 70 years' experience in the poultry industry. From our modern offices located at Girraween (NSW)) we process, prepare and distribute chicken meat products.
An excellent opportunity currently exists for a QA Officer to join the Cordina Quality team at the Girraween site in a full time capacity.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to –
- Monitor performance of hygiene, GMP, food safety and plant standards on a continuous basis and provide corrective feedback where required.
- Verify production output meets Specifications.
- Confirm all raw ingredient materials and packaging materials against specifications.
- Complete QA testing.
- Collect and record data according to HACCP and Quality System
- Conduct quality audits in a methodical and detailed manner to verify that the organisations' food safety program is complied with at all times
- Ensure internal audit follow-ups to non-conformances and assist with action plans as required.
To be successful in this position you must possess the following –
- Previous experience in food quality assurance, preferably in raw meats or short shelf life foods.
- Internal Audit experience
- Self Motivated and a Quick Learner
- Team Player, with the ability to work unsupervised
- Attention to detail
- Mature minded
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced MS Office skills
Applicants with a Cert II Food Processing (minimum), science degree or relevant industry experience in the Poultry Processing industry and Food Manufacturing industry will be highly regarded. Recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
