The Role - We are currently seeking a QA/QC Inspector to join our team on the Rio Tinto Yandi Project. The role will be FIFO on a 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off roster from Perth, WA.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance to all internal and client quality requirements and procedures for welding and painting/blasting works.
- Conducting material inspections and review of documentation to ensure compliance to project technical requirements
- Reporting on all non-conformance incidents and providing feedback on solutions and turnaround time for corrections made.
- Assisting the Project team in resolving any discrepancies and ambiguities regarding site/actual conditions against drawings, methods, and project specifications.
- Ensuring all Projects are delivered in line with our core values
- Developing and maintaining key client relationships that foster mutual value creation
- Ensuring compliance with internal, client and legislative HSE requirements
About You
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar QA/QC role
- Must hold NACE Level 2 Coatings Inspector Certification and CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection Certification as a minimum
- Experience performing multidisciplinary inspections, interpreting isometric drawings, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Must have held NACE 2 and CSWIP 3.1 for a minimum of 3-5 years and worked in relevant field.
