Wood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally.

This role will see you join our Project Delivery team that support both our Perth and Brisbane business. Specifically, you will join an upcoming local project, that is moving into detailed engineering in 2024 and continuing through to execution in 2025/2026

In this role your focus will be on improving delivery efficiency, customer satisfaction and reducing potential risks and rework whilst complying with Quality policy, standard and delivering agreed objectives. In addition to;

  • Prepares and implement quality plan in accordance with client and execution plan requirements.
  • Attends vendor kick off meetings as required to provide quality support and advice on quality deliverables.
  • Reviews and approve product/material requisitions and validates quality control and certification requirements.
  • Assigns and coordinates product/material inspection activities in accordance with purchase order, inspection and test plan and associated technical requirements.
  • Plans, implements and reports on both internal and external risk based audit programmes.
  • Manages and analyses data arising from non-conformance and corrective actions.
  • Undertakes investigations of quality related failures
  • Supporting the effective planning and allocation of quality personnel as required for the scope of work
  • Planning and execution of risk-based assurance plans including the escalation of significant findings to project leaders
  • Ensuring consistent and effective implementation of Quality supporting systems across the project (e.g., Non-Conformance, Progressive learning and Customer satisfaction management)
  • Monitoring and analysis of delivery performance data, regularly reporting themes and trends to senior leaders and undertaking intervention as required

About You

Your career journey will have seen you work on a range of large to medium scale projects, either in Greenfields or brownfield projects within the resources sector, ideally within mineral processing. In addition you will have;

  • Tertiary Qualifications or Diploma in Quality Management, with relative industry experience
  • Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organizations, Project Management Institute or equivalent (desirable) •
  • Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques (essential
  • Comprehensive understanding in industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 19011 and associated Wood Standard
  • High level of commitment to Safety and HSE requirements.
  • Ability to lead by example and create and encourage a collaborative working relationship amongst project team environments. Able to show agility and adaptability.
