IT Onsite Support Specialists to join our Australian IT team!
- The IT Onsite Support Specialist will have a customer-oriented attitude and will be responsible for providing efficient 1st & 2nd Level onsite IT support and assistance to end users in relation to computer hardware, software, telecommunications, and peripheral products, ensuring compliance with all WSP IT policies.
- If you're computer-savvy, can work as part of a team or individually and enjoy supporting end users, we'd like to meet you. To succeed in this role, you should have a problem-solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions. You should also be familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques
What you will doMain responsibilities include:- Providing 1st & 2nd Level IT support, ensuring users receive a high standard of service, including evaluating and resolving routine user problems through hardware, software, or system Maintenance, and liaising with external support contractors, as appropriate, for additional assistance.
- Logging and resolving tickets in accordance with relevant policies and global service level agreements.
- Supporting and instructing users in the use of computer equipment and software applications; answering questions and assisting in resolving problems regarding the methods and procedures for the use of applications.
- Performing the installation of new hardware/software; installing, testing, and monitoring the operation of computer hardware and software; configuring hardware and software; and undertaking updates as required.
What we will love about you
Essential:- Qualification in a computing discipline and/or a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an IT support function.
- Superior communication skills both verbal & written with the ability to explain technical issues clearly in lay terms to non-IT staff,
- Contemporary working knowledge of a wide range of computer technologies including desktop hardware, operating systems and peripherals, thin client technology and office automation products.
- Working knowledge of communication protocols and tools e.g., DHCP, TCP/IP, SCCM etc.
- High-level competency in all Microsoft Office applications including O365, Teams etc.
- Maintain a current Driver's Licence.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow & ITIL methodologies.
- Australian Citizen or resident
Desirable:- ITIL v4 Foundations Certification.
- Experience in supporting digital engineering applications.
