We have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedArea Manager to inspire and lead operations across 5-7 BOUNCE venues.

What about the role?

The Area Manager (AM) role is one of the most important positions at BOUNCE, and a key driver of our Mission, Purpose, and Vision. With ultimate responsibility for the operational performance, customer and employee engagement, safety, venue presentation and labour management for a group of BOUNCE Venues, our AM’s are key strategic leaders within our rapidly growing business.

The primary goal of the AM position is to set up and maintain our venues to achieve our mission; to Bring the Love, Inspire Progression and Grow the Tribe. If this is done well through those key responsibilities areas above, then BOUNCE will continue to track towards our vision to be Australia’s most loved & dominant brand in Indoor Action Adventure, with an unmatched ability to achieve our purpose to Inspire Movement, Self-Expression, and Human Connection.
 

Based between BOUNCE venues in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the Area Manager will lead and inspire venues to deliver on the following key responsibility areas.

• Leadership and Venue Management: Provide leadership to guide and hold Venue Management teams accountable, ensuring profitable and efficient venue operations through effective management of key performance indicators.
• Mission Delivery: Be a key player in fostering our thriving BOUNCE ecosystem where motivated individuals and teams passionately understand and fulfil our mission. 
• Coaching and Developing:  Lead and mentor Venue Management teams, promoting individual development and creating a succession plan for key roles, while ensuring a customer-centric approach and maintaining effective communication standards.
• Safety Standards, Culture and Systems:  Provide safety-focused leadership to ensure staff and customers always feel safe and welcomed. Work with Venue Management to ensure compliance with Bounce Standard checklists and reporting to meet relevant Federal, State and Local laws.
• Operational Oversight of Costs and Compliance:  Provide experienced guidance for the effective and efficient management of our cost and compliance requirements. Coach and develop direct reporting managers to consistently provide exceptional customer experiences, while upholding labour cost targets and conducting thorough reviews of monthly venue reports and P&Ls.
• Maximise Customer Experience and Sales:  Provide input and support in the design and implementation of consistent operational procedures, training programs and guidelines to drive the optimisation of Bounce products and experience. You will actively monitor feedback (NPS), implement strategies to enhance customer retention, frequency of visitation, and maximise secondary spend.

• The successful candidate should have 3 – 5 years Area Manager experience within a multi-site consumer facing business.
• Interpersonal skills are key as this role will have a strong impact on culture. 
• A passion for people and the ability to build thriving relationships.
• A strong understanding and focus on operational effectiveness and commercial considerations.

Most importantly, the Area Manager needs to live and breathe the brand culture and values. They need to have excellent authentic communication and influencing skills and be energised by managing and developing venue leaders.
