Qualified Aviation Tanker Driver

UGL Defence was recently awarded an Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract for the Defence Fuels Network. We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Tanker Truck Drivers and operators to work with the RAAF.
This a unique and exciting opportunity to work within a team of defence personnel while enjoying the benefits of working with a Tier 1 service provider. Work as one team and perform the delivery of fuel to the RAAF and other Defence stakeholders on base.
The Role
Reporting through to a UGL leading hand or supervisor, your day-day direction will come from the Commanding Officer or similar of the particular squadron you will be working with. This permanent position will see you work Monday – Friday 38 hours per week. The permanent rate for this position is $38.30 per hour + superannuation. These duties will include, but not limited to;

• Operate fuel tanker truck around the fuel installation and the defence base
• Work closely with operator to safely load your fuel tank truck with required fuel
• Deliver the fuel to the designated fuel point i.e., refuelling point, aircraft on the runway etc
• Operate pumps on tanker truck to ensure effective delivery of fuel to aircraft
• Communicate with internal and external team to ensure good customer experience

What you Need
You will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer. We expect the successful applicants to have the following

• MC, HC or HR Driver Licence
• Dangerous Goods Handling Licence
• Proven experience operating heavy vehicles is essential
• Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry will be highly regarded
• Good communicator and ability to work in a diverse team
• Current holder, or ability to obtain relevant security clearances
