Nonna’s Bakehouse is a business, that manufactures and sells artisanal products sold in specialist food stores and major supermarket chains.  Having evolved from a small family business into a successful company with some 100 employees and a wide reach across the Australian consumer market, this organisation is now seeking a hands on, motivated and experienced Bakery supervisor to join the team located at Wetherill Park.
 
About the Role
  
Reporting to the Bakery Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing Experience and knowledge of mixing all types of bread, understanding the full process of mixing, resting, moulding and baking. This is an essential. 

This position is a full-time hands-on role with a 5-day working week across Monday to Sunday. This role is shift work and will include weekends and public holidays when required. 

Baker Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Baker with attention to detail. Must have experience and good understanding of mixing the dough. Bakers must be following directions and recipes to make a delicious, finished product.

Your Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring the standards of ingredients
• Measuring and weighing wet and dry ingredients.
• Checking the dough temperature and ensuring it is at the required level. 
• Following procedures for dough rising and resting
• Monitoring the full process to the finish produce
• Quality control and waste managing in conjunction with QA Manager
• Comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Complete all required paperwork as requested.
• Must be able to speak read and wright English.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• ​General duties as required.

Ideal candidates will need to meet the following requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Mixing Dough.

2. Proven ability to work unsupervised 

3. The ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

4. Attention to and an eye for detail. The ability to prepare and produce breads of excellent quality and appearance.

5. Able to competently operate baking machinery

6. A positive and enthusiastic attitude, ready to continue developing your skills to the next level.
