Qualified Fleet Mechanic

South West Freight is a values-based, family owned and operated transport operator in Mount Gambier.

We are seeking a Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Mount Gambier workshop team. This is a full-time permanent position with overtime available (if desired), working on our modern fleet of Kenworth trucks and trailing equipment.

About the role:

The successful applicant will support our team by assisting with

1. Scheduled truck maintenance
2. Preventative truck maintenance
3. Fault diagnostics and general repairs
4. Some light truck and forklift work
5. Refurbishment of fleet and project work
6. Other fleet maintenance and fitment as required

What can you bring:

1. Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
2. Diesel engine experience
3. Understanding of automotive workshop processes
4. Experience in diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults
