Focus Care is looking for a passionate, inspirational, and collaborative Quality and Compliance Manager to join our committed and enthusiastic team. The Quality and Compliance Manager reports to our COO and as a key member of the Focus Care Leadership team, will provide management of quality systems and oversee compliance to industry standards, clinical governance framework and industry specific compliance management.
The role will support the organisation to ensure we continue to provide safe, quality person-centred care in the community that aligns with the Aged Care Quality Standards, Disability Standards and ACIS.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensure Quality And Compliance across all our home care services; meet and exceed the Aged Care Quality Standards (Quality Standards), NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators and Australian Community Industry Standards (ACIS).
- Work with senior managers to develop and maintain a plan for continuous improvement that works in with Focus Care’s strategic plan.
- Develop submissions and reports for internal committees, including the Governing Body, as well as the regulator and government.
- Maintain organisational and care Quality, Risk and Continuous Improvement Registers, including incidents, compliments, and complaints.
- Provide feedback on risks and identify trends and improvements.
- Oversee incident and complaint registers and undertake investigations into high-risk incidents and adverse feedback as required.
- Support the identification of opportunities for improvement, and manage activities related to Continuous Improvement
- Drive service and quality standards by ensuring staff are accurately following quality management systems.
- Manage the creation, review and amendment of Policy & Procedures as required to maintain compliance and best practice.
- Complete self-assessments and conduct regular internal audits in line with annual audit schedule.
- Oversee, participate, and prepare for external audits and quality reviews and accreditations.
- Participate in leadership, management and company staff meetings and attend external meetings as required.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and care teams, as well as HR and Training to support best practice client care.
- Develop and deliver training relating to quality management, to relevant Focus Care staff.

- Good knowledge of the Government reform programs for Aged Care
Who are you:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as nursing or other health or human services profession, quality management etc.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Aged Care compliance, continuous improvement, quality management and accreditation standards and processes.
- Knowledge of NDIS practice standards
- Proven experience of auditing aged care compliance, legislation and standards with a history of transitioning operations to best practice.
- Experience in managing complex issues including open disclosure processes, investigations, and complex complaints.
- Strong appreciation of the Aged Care and other relevant quality standards, compliance, and audit regulatory processes.
