Our client is a long-established registered training organisation (RTO) based in the Hunter Valley, who has built a leading position in the resources sector as a provider of quality VET courses.
Who are we looking for?
Our client is seeking a highly motivated individual who can fulfil the role of Quality and Compliance Manager due to a recent expansion in the organisation. The focus of this role is to manage the RTO's regulatory compliance and quality assurance functions to ensure its ongoing success as a high performing training provider.
The Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible for implementing and monitoring systems of continuous improvement and Compliance to ensure all divisions of the RTO meet regulatory, legislative and contract requirements.
Reporting to the CEO, the Quality and Compliance Manager will work collaboratively to foster a culture of compliance within the RTO that supports quality outcomes and the achievement of operational and strategic goals of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and manage the RTO's annual compliance and quality assurance activities.
- Monitor and manage the RTO's compliance with regulatory standards and government funded training contract requirements.
- Manage and facilitate communications with the National VET Regulator in relation to the RTO standards, including compliance reporting and audits.
- Manage and facilitate communications with the NSW Department of Education in relation to funded training contracts, including data reporting, performance reviews and audits.
- Review and ensure continuous improvement of the RTO activities, training programs, and service delivery.
- Design, develop and review policies, procedures and documents necessary to meet Quality and Compliance requirements.
- Coordinate the scope of registration changes, transitions and registration renewals.
- Maintain trainer and assessor compliance records, including industry currency, professional development and competency mapping.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to the CEO in relation to the RTO's compliance, including implementation of recommendations and strategies to assure compliance.
Key Selection Criteria
- High level interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate confidently and knowledgeably with staff at all levels.
- Strong administration and coordination skills.
- Prominent level of skills and knowledge with compliance / internal audits, reporting, writing policies and procedures, planning, and executing.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strategic thinker who can analyse situations and implement workable solutions.
- Capacity to focus on outcomes in planning and developing effective changes to processes.
- Ability to understand legislation and government contracts and interpret them in the context of an organisation's requirements.
- Ability to work in a team environment and be adaptable to change in a continuously evolving industry.
