About the roleThis exciting and challenging role will suit a highly driven individual wanting to take their Quality Assurance skills to the next level within food manufacturing.
The role of QAI Specialist works alongside the Head of QAI, and as part of a team who ensure the business meets all food safety, quality objectives and complies with relevant regulations and standards.
Key to success in this role you will be able to:
- Develop, maintain, and review the Quality Management System (QMS) which incorporates multiple standards i.e. FSSC 22000, Safe Food Queensland, Halal, Kosher, Export
- Assist in identifying and driving improvements to achieve business goals
- Use your knowledge and people skills to mentor, motivate and develop the QAI Team
- Coach the other departments on QMS requirements leading to positive business outcomes
- Maintain knowledge of all relevant quality standards, regulations, food safety and certification requirements
- Contribute to managing 3rd Party Audits, regulatory registrations, certifications, and Customer audits
- Contribute to the development of Quality/Food Safety training plans
- Support the development of new products and product launches
- Audit Suppliers including 3rd Party Manufacturing
- Provide input and guidance on requirements for entering export markets and technical issues
- Work with key internal stakeholders and leadership to achieve positive outcomes
The successful candidate ideally will be experienced in the follow areas, but not limited to:
- Food manufacturing-based Quality Assurance Management (3+ Years)
- Record implementing quality strategies, process improvements and initiatives taking with a high degree of personal responsibility (Proven track record)
- Managing 3rd Party audits, registrations & certifications
- FMCG, powders and exporting dairy products
- Solid leadership skills with strong communications skills, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including external laboratories
- Time management, planning and organisational skills that are excepetional and show a sharp attention to detail
