AddressCareers & Candidates is exclusively engaged by our Client, to source Candidates for the role of Finance Officer.
The company is a well established engineering business, with along history of working with the world's largest companies, within the industry.
The role reports directly into the Finance Manager, and has end-to-end responsibility for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. There is scope for taking on further responsibilities, as your become comfortable in the role.
The more complex part of the role sits within AP. A number of the suppliers are based overseas, which then entails FX for payments. Also, various import duty taxes may apply, or not apply at all, and this role needs to be on top of the detail, to ensure charges are correctly paid and not paid when not applicable. There is also a need to work through issues, where goods received do no not match the P/O / invoice.
On the AR side, when clients do not pay, it is solely a matter of resolving the issue around detail. For example, more information may need to supplied or an invoice setout differently. The Clients are some of the largest companies in the world, and always pay. It is never a debt collections process, in regard to Clients being unwilling nor unable to pay.
There is also some further duties around bank rec's etc.
This role will suit a highly capable person, with experience in AP and AR. The role requires a good level of competence, attention to detail and ability to think through issues. It is low volume, high attention detail.
