The Opportunity:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join the Kuisine Factory which is currently located in Emu Plains NSW and will be moving to Auburn NSW in mid-2024.
The role of the Quality Assurance Coordinator is to provide support to the Quality Assurance Manager in the implementation of the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems including pre-requisite programs.
This is a broad and challenging role which will require to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to meet the customer needs by elevating the Quality and Food Safety of the products.
The Quality Assurance Coordinator must support in driving the Quality Culture of the Business and initiates Continuous Improvements through Cost Saving initiatives, Process Controls improvements and Influence others towards Companies Core Values and Culture.
Additionally, the role will also provide support to the companies’ compliance with all Workplace Health and Safety Regulations and Environmental policies.
The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to:
- Conduct daily production line QC checks and Product Sensory Compliance
- Prepare QC Monitoring forms according to Product Specification Sheets
- Raise and monitor internal and external nonconformances (process, products, people procedure etc)
- QA support for daily production issues regarding production, quality and GMP compliance
- Verification of Production Paperwork to ensure Quality and Food Safety Compliance together with the QA Manager e.g. CCPs and QCPs checks
- Prepare and update Product Specification Sheets to meet customer requirements
- Collate Micro and Gluten Free Meals samples for external testing according to Product Testing Matrix
- Support in Environmental Monitoring for Cleaning and Micro verifications e.g. Swab Test and Water Test
- Monitor and Update Approved Supplier Programs e.g., Performance Review, Updating Certificates and Contact Lists, Risk analysis of new suppliers
- Support in providing Customer Complaints feedback and reports
- Support in NPD factory trials and new materials validations
- Conduct GMP and Foreign Object Audits and follow through corrective actions
- Deliver Quality Training and Technical Support to other key stakeholders
- Collate EOSL, NIPs and Allergen Testing products for external testing
- Review NIPs Results and provide recommendations for possible improvements
- Support in review and updates of the HACCP & QMS Procedures together with Work Instructions
- Provide support in Gap Analysis for SQF Compliance updates
- Conduct Annual Label Review for Hospital Retail and GMC products
- Perform Bi-annual Product Mock Recalls and Mass Balance Test
The successful candidate will have:
- Formal qualifications in Bachelor of Science Major Food Science and Nutrition or a related field or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a Food Technologist or Quality Assurance role.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures, skills in implementing and maintaining business systems, knowledge of diagnostic procedures and techniques.
