The Role

Join the team that focuses on Apps, APIs & integrations for inbound & outbound operations of our stores and warehouses. Fulfilment orchestration, order & warehouse management, supplier integration, in store apps - just to name a few. We work on exciting stuff at the scale of 200 stores, 6 warehouses, 8000+ staff, $5B+ sales.
Whilst your primary focus will be Quality Assurance, you will also develop an understanding of the business of retail and turning this understanding into solutions that support our customers, staff, and partners. Willing and able to contribute to any part of the delivery pipeline, you thrive on the opportunity to solve complex problems, take pride in your craft and actively seek continual improvement of self, team, and organisation.
You will be self-motivated, have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and enjoy contributing to the success of an Agile squad.

Responsibility:
Develop a strong working understanding of the business
Work as a cross functional member of a squad within the full software development lifecycle
Write and contribute to artifacts that ensure quality deliverables against required business need
Write and contribute to automated functional testing frameworks
Evaluate specifications and design artifacts against required business need
Work across squads to ensure that the systems we deliver are fit for purpose
Identify risks and issues as necessary and ensure they are socialised
Understand and participate in DevOps support practices
Skills & Experience:
Ability to create suites of automated and/or manual test cases that exercise business requirements
Ability to create and maintain both written and visual artifacts to support what defines quality for the squad
Capable of using tools to query databases (CosmosDB & SQL Server) for validating data & diagnosing issues.
Capable of using various test management tools such as Test Pad.
Capable of using automation frameworks
Working understanding software development lifecycle in a production setting
Be proactive in identifying test cases upfront not just retrospectively
Have a voice and opinions within the team throughout design & development phases.
Understand the fundamentals for Web Apis & Messaging.
Knowledge in Azure, in particular Application Insights & being able to query logs to pull together an opinion of what could be wrong.
Exposure to the retail industry.
