Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and training that ensures employee knowledge and compliance of HACCP standards are met
- Oversee third party and customer food safety and quality audits; ensure non-conformance issues are rectified within time frames provided
- Establish non-conformance processes and reporting that provide early alert and or early reporting of issues arising; provide timely response to issues, resolving every issue in the quickest time frames achievable
- Maintain currency of knowledge across changes and proposed changes to HACCP regulations and requirements of customers under supply agreements
- Ensure that Grove’s operations are maintained at and in compliance with HACCP
- Manage and maintain requirements for Kosher and HALAL products and oversee audits.
- Manage all external testing; micro, water, environmental, shelf life, etc. as per customer and system requirements
- Establish non-conformance processes and reporting that provide early alert and or early reporting of issues arising; provide timely response to issues, resolving every issue in the quickest time frames achievable
- Manage and maintain the QMS to meet the requirements of SQF, Coles Manufacturing Standard, Woolworths Excellence, Aldi Addendum requirements or other customer specific requirements for the Mansfield site.
- Conduct internal audits and external audits (if required)
- Conduct scheduled QMS verifications.
- Assist with the management of the Grove Juice document control system.
- Conduct label reviews.
- Assist in new product development
- Handle customer requests for technical information (eg. accreditation documentation, specifications, export compliance documentation, etc.).
- Conduct annual mock recall with Grove recall / withdrawal team.
- Conduct annual Business Continuity Plan test with the Business Continuity Team.
- Review training records with Department Managers.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance manager or relevant role.
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of Quality Assurance and standards.
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, databases, and ERP systems.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Great attention to detail and a results driven approach.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- BSc in Food Science or relevant field would be highly desirable.
