The Quality Assurance role is responsible for assisting and coordinating all training and quality of the Housekeeping Department to support the achievement of maximum efficiency and ensure an alignment to The Langham Hotels & Resorts standards. Specifically, through continuous improvement, training and development, conducting regular quality checks and the ongoing review of colleague efficiencies
This position is an integral part of a high performing hotel team, and a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for assisting in meeting excellent standards in the Housekeeping Department.
- Provide orientation, training and assessment to all colleagues and new starters to the Housekeeping department
- Participate in Hotel quality auditing requirements, prepare action reports and implement actions to prevent reoccurring issues.
- Schedule routine inspections within hotels to ensure quality meets expectation.
- Evaluate colleague performance to assist the Executive Housekeeper when necessary.
- Ensure Workplace Health & Safety procedures are maintained and adhered to.
- Complete regular safety inspections and identify hazards.
- Ensure colleagues meet productivity requirements and the quality score of the hotel to the required standard.
- Prepare weekly reports in relation to the Training and Quality standards of the hotel.
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar role - requires knowledge and experience in processes, procedures and methods of the Housekeeping Department.
- Ability to relate well to The Langham, Melbourne guests, colleagues and hotel Management.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Professional in demeanor and presentation.
- Effective communication skills.
- Personable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work independently.
