As the Quality Assurance / WHS Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our feed additive product by monitoring, evaluating and coordinating systems. While maintaining a safety perspective in all areas of production. You will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement and making recommendations to management for process improvements and everything safety. You will be working closely with all operators and management team to ensure that we meet the high standards within our organisation.
This is a full-time duel role position, covering both Quality Assurance and WHS obligations onsite.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, upkeep, training and continual improvements onsite WH&S. Also being responsible for meeting the quality control protocols and procedures as outlined by the standard of FAMI-QS ISO certification in the use for feed additives which is currently executed onsite.
FAMI-QS is the highest feed safety accreditation in the world, which will be required by all feed additives suppliers. This accreditation allows us to export our product worldwide which means a high attention to detail and ability to undertake further training for continual improvement and system changes are involved and are essential.
This role will require previous knowledge of HACCP and WHS or willingness to undertake training to have a complete skill set. To be successful within this role you must have exceptional communication and computer skills, ability to multitask is advantageous, previous knowledge of FAMI-QS is favourable but not essential as long as you are willing to undergo training.
We are looking for:
- Computer Skills with the following programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Gmail are essential
- Exceptional Multitasking &Organisational skills are must to complete your role effectively and proficiently
- Previous knowledge in Hazard Analysis and risk management
- Have previous Experience or knowledge in Quality control operations or WHS
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures, including system monitoring, and documentation upkeep.
- Ability to Identify areas of improvement and document management process's for improvement
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies procedures and relevant certification agencies
- Provide coaching, training and feedback to staff members on areas where improvement is needed for continual improvement
- Ensure that all quality assurance & WHS activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Experience in providing safety and risk management
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS Management Systems including experience in site audits, risk assessments, SOP'S, SWM'S, safety toolbox meetings and other WHS reporting systems.
- Previous HACCP Knowledge is favourable
