About the Role: Salvos Housing is hiring! We have an amazing opportunity for a permanent full time Quality, Compliance and Policy Specialist to join our Blackburn, Melbourne office with hybrid working arrangements. Reporting to the GM Strategy, Compliance and Finance (GM SCF) the successful candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting to federal and state community housing regulators.
You will also have the opportunity to support state managers to achieve key outcomes through policy provision, coordination and expert advice nationally. This role maintains the SAH quality management system as well as the SAH Risk register. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual & organisational standards
In conjunction with the GM SCF complete the quarterly quality and compliance reports Assess product, compliance, and operational risks to develop and implement risk management strategies Ensure timelines for compliance, contractual and organisational reporting timelines are met Provide oversight and maintenance of the risk management plan and risk register Chair the Quality Management Group meetings held every quarter Maintain requirements of Community Housing registrations nationally Verify that Chintaro is up to date with latest property and tenancy movements and property information Monitor and report on incidents and complaints received Monitor and report on the Salvation Army Housing’s Safeguarding activities About you: 5+ years’ experience in quality, risk and compliance Sound knowledge of housing regulatory systems nationally within the social housing and community welfare sector, or equivalent (e.g. Aged care) Understanding the framework around government funding and affordable and community housing Exposure to government relations and Policy advocacy Excellent written and verbal skills, and broad communication and influencing skills Sound computer literacy in common applications eg. Microsoft office
