Quick Response Carers Pty. Ltd. (“QRC”) is a well-established provider of care services throughout the Brisbane metropolitan and Gold Coast regions. In addition to its individualised support work with clients, QRC has recently established a Leisure and Lifestyle Day Service for people with disabilities.
The Quality Manager is responsible for supporting Quality, Risk Management, Compliance. They will provide expertise and have active involvement in the design, delivery and evaluation of the quality, risk and compliance systems.
This position aims not only to achieve consistent service quality but continuous improvement. Continuous improvement is the progressive step by step improvement of every aspect of work. Steps may be small, achieving impact by the sheer weight of accumulation.
A primary focus will be on preventing errors before they occur, rather than correcting them afterwards. The examination of tasks and work processes with the aim of the elimination of error, waste and inconsistency is critical. Pivotal concepts for quality management include:
- Prevention of errors rather than correction
- Focus on improvement at every step in the process
- Productivity improvement as a result of quality improvement
- Understanding of variation and inconsistency
- Importance of small step improvements
- Involvement of all staff
- Empowerment of staff
Must have NDIS experience and within the scope of this role.
