Quality Control (Qc) Technician

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) candidate to join our team, reporting to the QA Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products through various Quality Control processes.

This role involves on-the-line QC, incorporating tasks that require lifting boxes weighing at least 10kg. Suitable candidates should be able to meet the physical demands of this work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Line Quality Control:

• Conduct on-the-line quality checks during the assembly process.
• Identify and address any defects or issues in real-time to prevent defective products from progressing further in the assembly line.

1. Investigate Quality Issues and Complaints:

• Investigate and resolve any quality issues or complaints reported by customers or internal teams.
• Document findings and implement corrective actions to assist in preventing the recurrence of issues as a team.

1. Data Entry:

• Record detailed data for each assembly build to ensure accurate tracking and traceability.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of Quality Control activities and results.
• Perform data entry tasks using a Mac and Excel. 

1. QC Inbound Shipments:

• Perform QC checks on inbound shipments to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
• Raise a case for any discrepancies or issues found and communicate your findings.

1. Comply and Maintain Monthly Waste Report:

• Compile and prepare a monthly waste report by the 10th of each new month to present to Managers.
• Analyse waste data to identify trends and opportunities for reducing waste.

1. Production Support:

• Collaborate with production team members to address any quality-related concerns that arise during production.

1. Assist QA:

• Assist the management team with our QMS, GMP, and HACCP practices. Weltrade has implemented Lean methodology as part of our culture. We can teach this.

• Overtime may be required based on the production demands

About You: 

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment, working in quality is a bonus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work as part of a multi-cultural team and independently.
• Strong organisational & data entry skills. (Mac desired, not essential)
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS and IMS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and standards such as ISO 9001:2015 and HACCP is a plus; training will be provided if required.
