JAS is a part of the automotive aftermarket industry and specifically focuses on servicing the Auto Electrical sector.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Automotive Electrician, with Technical / Automotive HVAC and is a Training professional to join our team in the automotive industry. In this role, you will be responsible for training and educating our staff and customers on automotive electrical systems and products, as well as providing technical support. This is a crucial position that plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our customers in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues in vehicles.

As an Automotive Electrical Technical and Training professional, you will have a deep understanding of automotive electrical and HVAC systems, including wiring diagrams, electrical components, and diagnostic tools. You will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs that enhance our technicians' knowledge and skills in diagnosing and repairing electrical problems. Additionally, you will provide technical support to our technicians by troubleshooting and offering guidance on complex electrical issues.

As a National company with a large number of branches and distributors, interstate travel will be a regular activity in this role for trade shows and training, visiting branches and customers.

The Positions Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is Training and Technical support within and external to our national company. 

This role is to work as a team in supporting our Branch network and customers with technical issues, support with Quality Control and training. Training will be related to products and accessories that JAS Oceania is renowned for.   Activities that are including but not limited to; maintaining customer accounts, sales activities, administrative duties, credit and warranty processing and site safety. objective of this role is to ensure that the our branch network meets or exceeds branch monthly sales budgets and managing gross profit/margin.

This position requires excellent communication and teaching skills, as you will be working closely with our branch network to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of automotive electrical products. You will also collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and develop customized training plans. This will involve interstate travel to achieve targets and goals, both personal and for the company.

Skills and experience

• Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and tailor training programs accordingly.
• Assist in the development of trouble shooting guides and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain and develop modules for our staff training program and training sessions.
• Organise and support external suppliers for training programs. 
• Maintain a strong focus on reconciling any branch issues for a positive outcome.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Stay up to date with automotive electrical technologies and vehicle trends.
• Develop training materials, including presentations, technical bulletins, and online training modules.
• Involved with warranty claims and procedures.

Revenue and Budget

• Supporting branches so that targets are met or exceeded along with gross margin/profit
• Monitoring pricing through both phone sales and rep sales.
• Monitoring and managing Inventory for optimum line fill and stock turns.

The Person

Qualifications: Must Have

Certificate 3 or high in Automotive Electrical

Experience: Must Have

Automotive Workshop Sales and or Repairs
