About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Quality Coordinator - Civil to join the Snowy Hydro 2.0 team on a 2 year, fixed term contract. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this critical role is responsible for performing quality coordination of all civil engineering and construction work on behalf of the 2.0 Owner's Team. This role will see you operate from Cooma, NSW with visits to all sites at least once a week where you'll be proactive in ensuring construction activities are coordinated, and meet project quality standards.
This position is suited to a detail driven individual, who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and has excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary workplace.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain the highest standard of health and safety performance and exhibit behaviours consistent with the Snowy Values
Work proactively to prevent short, medium and long-term legacy issues which could compromise the Snowy 2.0 operational performance
Undertake Project quality coordination activities to proactively prevent construction-related legacy quality issues
Conduct and witness all Project Quality Audits and maintaining QA/QC procedures on site
Prepare daily reports on all works in progress and maintain up to date, accessible and accurate versions of necessary shop drawings, documents and records
Ensure all communications to the Contractor and within the Owner's Team regarding QA and non-conformance are managed via ACONEX
To be successful you will need:
A Bachelor of Civil Engineering
2+ years experience working on large scale and complex infrastructure or mining projects
Demonstrated quality coordination and quality assurance skills
Experience in auditing systems and processes
Strong working knowledge and experience of popular document management systems such as Aconex
Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to time manage by establishing priorities
The ability to work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision when required, with a flexible attitude
