Job Summary:
Supervision of the Compliance and QA Management Systems with the objective of retaining certification, compliance with clients global and customer compliance (EHS), food safety and quality standards (FSMS) and continuous improvement in site compliance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Co-ordinates and works with other functions to d evelop, maintain, and improve the effectiveness of the compliance (EHS) and food safety management systems (FSMS)
· Coordinates daily compliance and QA tasks to assure objectives are met
· Plans and conducts detailed, thorough internal audits, reports results of those audits
· Liaises with Company’s staff to ensure that EHS, Food safety and Quality standards are maintained, reports at findings to management
· Conducts supplier food safety audits when required
· Discusses food safety and quality requirements with suppliers and relays information to relevant areas within the organisation
· Reviews and manages site corrective and preventative actions for control of non-conforming product and processes
· Coordinates preparation and attendance for site customer audits
· Summarises and reports compliance, food safety and quality issues to Compliance and Unit Manager
· Liaises with Account Managers and Supervisors or other personnel in the investigation of EHS compliance or food safety incidents to ensure swift corrective action is taken to rectify any deviation in standards
· Records, analyses and reports on internal and external client satisfaction with compliance and services
· Assures efficient training of all staff in compliance standards, in person, or via the online training system and trouble shoots any gaps in training
· Continuous improvement of EHS and FSMS
· Participates in weekly and daily Compliance and QA meetings
· Participates in shift briefings and management meetings if required
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
· Minimum Bachelor Degree or Certificate in Food Science/Technology (or related field)
· Minimum 3 years’ QA/Food safety experience
· Project management
· HACCP certification in the last 3 years
· Internal auditor training
· Effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders
