Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.

The Role
To develop and implement construction and source inspection planning, monitor and ensure that employees follow quality assurance standards and procedures established by the company.
This role is a 14/7 roster FIFO opportunity, to be based out of project locations from Wagga Wagga (NSW) through to Robertstown (SA), through the duration of the project. The likely starting point will be Buronga, near Mildura. This would suit someone interested in a FIFO role, or alternatively a local from the area.
Your focus will include:
- Ensure required quality documentation including but not limited to verification plans, Inspection and test plans, field inspection checklists, quality standards are implemented to ensure compliance with established codes, Elecnor standards, client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve supplier / sub-contractor project deliverables ensuring alignment and compliance to specified standards and regulations.
- Reviewing of RFQ documents to ensure project quality specification requirements have been adequately defined and addressed.
- Develop project ITP's & verification plans. Review & approve sub-contractor quality deliverables including MDR dossiers.
What you will bring to the team
- Demonstrated experience dealing with and managing subcontractors
- Technical writing and reviewing experience
- A minimum of 3+ years' experience in a Quality role
- Civil/Electrical Engineering background is highly beneficial
- Full unrestricted Australian driving license
