About the Role
Primo Foods has an opening for a Quality Coordinator - Operations to join the team in Chullora on a permanent full-time basis. This role ensures the Quality team maintains the quality of all products are in accordance with product specifications and legal requirements along with creating and updating all quality related documentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP-001), HACCP, and process parameters at all times to ensure safe and quality products are manufactured.
- Adhere to and enforce Imported Pig Meat requirements as per Imported Pig Meat Manual (IMP001)
- Lead & coordinate regulatory and third-party audits.
- Carry out process and product audits at launch.
- Carry out audits within the manufacturing area to ensure that processes and product manufacture is in accordance with the
- Participate internal, glass and brittle plastic and GMP audits, bucket walks to ensure quality and food safety management system are effective when required.
- Take part in root cause analysis as part of investigation of external and internal feedback/ complaints.
- HACCP team member: audit, and verifications as per schedule or as required.
- Create and update Quality manuals, SOPs and WIs, check sheets and HACCP Plans
- Attend and report Quality issues at Daily Production Operations meetings when required.
- Carry out annual label review.
- Provide process and product details to external and internal customers.
- Manage approve supplier program.
- Carry out Micro swabs at Pre-Op and/ or operationally.
- Coordinate and carry out retention sample assessment.
- Chair the meeting at the weekly cleaning meeting.
- Participate in Offsite process/ product audits (e.g. Xmas Ham inspection at Greenacre/ Preston)
- Degree in Food Science/Food Technology or any other relevant science discipline
- Previous experience in the Food Industry
- Well versed in HACCP and its application.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth, State legislation, Food Standard Code
- Knowledge of BRCGS, and other food standards from major retailers e.g. WQA Standards, CFMSR, YUM! and ALDI' s.
- Experience in applying a Food Safety System
- Experience in the Meat Industry is highly regarded.
