We operate 27 hospitals and services comprising more than 3,500 hospital beds, including home nursing, disability services and social outreach programs.As a Catholic, not-for-profit group, we invest all profits to the communities we serve by updating and expanding our facilities and technology; expanding existing services and developing and acquiring new services; and providing Social Outreach services to people experiencing disadvantage to improve health and wellbeing.St John of God South East Melbourne Hospitals provides a wide range of services caring for inpatients, outpatients and day patients across a range of specialties including perinatal mental health, cardiology, orthopaedic, neuro, maternity, medical and surgical; offering state of the art equipment and facilities to our rapidly growing community.Your Role at St John of God South East Melbourne HospitalsSupport the integration, continued maintenance and evolution of the continuous improvement program across St John of God South East Melbourne (SJGSEM) hospitals, using the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards Support the SJGSEM hospitals reporting and monitoring framework, by conducting case review and providing analysis and reporting to relevant committees and craft groups, including but not limited to:Patient experience dataDepartment of Health obligationsClinical indicatorsExternal audits, evaluations and reports Support the ongoing achievement of the hospital's external certification programs, including National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards (NSQHSS), Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS), Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme (DIAS) and any others as requiredThis position is based at SJG Berwick Hospital, but may involve travel to other South East Melbourne hospitals, including Frankston and Langmore.The PositionPrioritise departmental workloads using resources appropriately and cost effectively.Contribute to planning, problem solving and change management within SJGSEM hospitals as required.Present information in an organised and logical manner.Encourage the development of relationships with all hospital and visiting staff, which promote a harmonious working environment.Fulfils National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards requirements including but not limited to:Coordinate and participate in continuous safety and quality improvement actions, such as audits, reviews and drills that result in improvements to patient care, staff knowledge or the consumers experience and that align with actions described within the National Standards.Participate in the development, implementation, reporting and monitoring of quality assurance measures and activities.Ensure records and statistics are kept in accordance with established procedures.Undertake annual performance development review.Provide support to and participate in relevant SJGSEM governance committees.You will have registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife, or Allied Health Professional with relevant professional registration or membership with year experience working in health care as a registered nurse or registered midwife, or allied health professional, and experience in working with quality and risk management systems within a health care setting (e.g. National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards).To succeed you will possess good communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to write clearly and effectively and liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including medical practitioners, advanced computer skills, including report writing and analytical competency and have experience in evidence based practice. You will be able to work as part of a team, and manage own work loads and effectively manage deadlines, wit6h a commitment to quality patient care and customer satisfaction.Above all patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.We can offer youSalary: $110,854.76 to $113, 706 (pro-rata for part time) plus 11% superannuationA fixed term Part Time position, working 45 hours a fortnight for 12 months.
