Reporting to the QA Practice Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing quality processes (creation, execution, defect identification and tracking) to ensure quality in the application process. Your role partners with all relevant stakeholders to provide quality expertise to ensure a high standard of testing and quality assurance for all projects, solutions and changes delivered. In addition, you will provide inputs to release planning and dependencies, while working with relevant stakeholders.

What does the role involve?
- Analysing the non-functional requirements for the project and define a testing approach to adequately test based on the requirements
- Understand and design the test cases for the non-functional testing to cover the non-functional requirements validation across the applications
- Creating and executing functional, non-functional, business acceptance and regression test cases using the appropriate test management tools
- Managing and triaging defects using the appropriate test management tools
- Providing timely reporting of test preparation and execution metrics using the appropriate test management tools, including test case preparation status, test case execution status and defect status for non-functional testing
- Support the Technology team to define and agree in the base loads to test and provide estimates and key issues/risks surrounding a project/solution
- Contribute to continual improvement of the testing processes (efficiency-driven and quality-focussed) by assisting with the development of test methodologies to improve current processes specifically around the test knowledgebase for generic test scripts
- Develop, execute, and maintain suites of test scripts used for regression, functional and non-functional testing.
- Planning, executing and implementing peak period test approach (functional and non-functional) working closely with business to ensure stability and performance.
- Support the Technology team by ensuring and representing quality measures in the change control process and manage the test environment set up and test data management processes.
- 7+ years' experience in similar roles
- Experience working within similar corporate / retail environments, partnering with Technology team and the business to achieve business outcomes and optimise customer / end user experience.
- Tertiary qualified or equivalent industry experience
- ISTQB or Agile Test Certification (foundation level or above) highly desired
- Experience spanning various methodologies (e.g. SDLC, Waterfall, Agile)
- Experience on Oracle, DB2, UNIX and web platforms
- Proven experience in SDLC and Testing methodologies
- Proven experience in non-functional testing and NFT test management
- Strong understanding of monitoring tools and strong reporting and analytical skills to help triage and identify bottlenecks
- Strong documentation and communication skills, ability to convey complex technical and business requirements.
