About the Role: To support management by active promotion and implementation of Quality Management System, in accordance with company policies and relevant quality standards. To support in preventing mistakes and defects in manufactured products by applying advanced metrology skills in product quality inspection requirements.
To support customer complaints investigation and continuous improvement projects. To be responsible for internal audits, calibration control and document control. Key Responsibilities:
Implementation and maintenance of QA System and Programs Maintenance of Quality Manual and other controlled documents Verify conformances and productivity of quality system through audits and surveys
Regular audits on the effectiveness of all documented systems and the compliance of work practices. Audits and assessment of the quality performance of suppliers and sub-contractors, if employed. Initiate programs to enhance production and suppliers performance
Liaison with various managers, customers and suppliers on quality related issues and quality documentation Development, maintenance and implementation of PCP, SOP, VM and all quality inspection standards that govern quality criteria for related product, process and work practices. Evaluate, recommend and implement system, process and product improvements
Support product development team to inspect and review new product releases and process changes Develop matrix for analysing variances for quality and efficiency improvement Records Management
Utilise, support and maintain quality documents and records on ERP system Coordinate quality functions in the day-to-day operation, including corrective action request, non-conformance product control, preventive measure, and other quality related reporting. Investigate, analyse and report on customer complaints
Prepare reports using mathematical models and statistical techniques to analyse data for trend and conclusions Maintain up-to-date centralised data filing, quality document registers and timely reporting Report on projects progress to appropriate leadership levels on weekly and monthly basis
Maintain corrective and preventative action processes Quality in Production Analyse quality performance utilising SPC tools
Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate reliability, precision and accuracy of processes, products and production equipment Up-to-date accurate calibration and recording of production equipment and tools to ensure conformance to Quality Standards Develop and establish procedures and systems for inspection plans with quality trends
Coordinate with production team, suppliers and customers relating to quality trends, performance and corrective actions Ensure process documents adhere with set requirements Ensure timely processing of non-conforming components
Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels, ppm figures Interact with production and engineering teams to optimise documentation related to quality and inspection checks Provide training and development support to production and engineering teams on quality-related issues
Develop methods of measuring and controlling by identifying root causes and training inspectors Monitor aged stock, disposition of product trial or mass production non-conformance materials Assist warehouse aged stock management process
Assist disposition process by involving in failure analysis and suggest corrective actions Assist manufacturing scrap performance evaluation and management Component and product evaluation
Implement first off sample approval process with key suppliers Implement PPAP approval process for specific customers Conduct first and final inspections when required
Quality, Environmental and WH&S Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. WH&S, Environmental, Privacy Principles, IR/HR) Deliver quality internal and external customer service
Report on quality issues and WH&S incidents and/or hazards promptly using designated procedures Support and maintain 5S practices Key Requirements:
Essential (Required for entry into the position) Bachelor degree qualification in Engineering fields Proven experience in an auditing role under ISO9001 or equivalent
Minimum 5 years Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing environment Sound knowledge of PPAP, SPC and technical drawing reading Advanced Metrology skills
Experience with lean manufacturing techniques, Kaizen and 5S Demonstrated experience to work independently within stringent EH&S measures Desirable (Training may be provided)
Certificate or Diploma in Auditing for ISO9001 system or equivalent Basic knowledge of energy storage products Sound experience in performing and administering gauge R&R studies
Sound knowledge of EH&S aspects in manufacturing process
