The Role
Reporting directly to the GM of Operations, your responsibilities will include:
- Implementation of quality which includes: process landscape, quality assurance and quality control
- Awareness of product requirements from government and technical regulations
- Prepare, conduct and maintain ISO compliance
- Managing a team responsible for customer & installer technical support
- Driving root cause analysis of customer returns
- Leading a project & operational team for support projects
- Develop & maintain QA documentation, inspection plans & standards
- Define signature workflows and establish processes around releasing the product to the next stage
- Generate final reports, compile historical data & perform statistical evaluations
- Provide guidance to the product owner or product manager in the industrialisation of completed product designs
- Lead the manufacturing process release activities, including the establishment of capable manufacturing processes
- Participate in plant cost reduction initiatives
In order to be successful for this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics or Mechatronics)
- Development and launch of technology products in the field on mission critical equipment
- Experienced in engaging with customers & suppliers to lead technical problem solving projects
- Experience with stage gate processes & BOM release management
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues on the Engineering or manufacturing floor
- Knowledge of product development and product industrialisation processes
- Excellent communicator to all levels of the organisation
- Drive to build a global organisation
- Hunger to share information and support junior staff in their learning
