Quality & Risk Manager | Sydney

A fresh opportunity awaits for an enthusiastic leader to become part of the team and ensure the efficient management of risk at a private hospital in Sydney. This position can be full-time or part-time hours – 4-5 days a week.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Quality and Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring positive business outcomes while minimising potential risks within the hospital.Working closely with clinical and non-clinical departments, the Quality and Risk Manager will:

• Establish and uphold effective quality assurance protocols;
• Conduct thorough analyses of processes and outcomes;
• Implements strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfaction;
• Oversee compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements;
• Facilitate staff education on risk management practices, serving as a resource for resolving quality-related issues.

REQUIREMENTSTo succeed in this role, you will be a confident, self-directed individual with a high level of skill and knowledge in all aspects of hospital governance.

• Relevant clinical qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health;
• Minimum of 5 years in an acute hospital setting;
• Experience and competence in undertaking root cause analysis investigations;
• Demonstrated effectiveness in both operational and strategic leadership in a hospital setting;
• Experience and expertise in quality and patient safety role/s;
• Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement framework/s;
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
• Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of databases such as RiskMan.
