The Role
The Insurance and Risk Management (IR&M) Officer plays a vital role in implementing and maintaining Council's Risk Management Framework and General Insurance Program. The responsibilities will include managing insurance claims, communicating effectively with insurers, claimants, and Council staff. In Addition to handling day-to-day insurance matters, the IR&M Officer collaborates closely with the Manager Audit and Risk to drive forward our risk management and business continuity initiatives.
About You
- Strong understanding of:
- Insurance Portfolio and Claim Management.
- General Insurance.
- Risk Management.
- Business Continuity.
- 3 years of practical application of the above at a management level.
- Strong Verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong conflict resolution experience skills.
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
